“ Dupont circle long standing french restaurant. Id go back. Ask the server questions about the menu. Great drinks too. ”
“ We had a brunch reservation at Duck Duck Goose on a Sunday at noon. We were surprised to be the first guests inside the restaurant. I guess we were early by DC brunch standards. The restaurant is so cutely decorated. There is a flower arch by the entrance, and all the furnishings are very modern and aesthetically pleasing. The waiter was very prompt with taking our drink orders and checking on us while we waited on one member of our party. He did mention that they were out of three menu items: the guacamole with caviar, the cheeseboard and the DDG burger. The food that we tried was delicious! I had the French onion soup and a side of duck fat fries. The soup was flavorful and had chunks of duck confit! Yum! It was also a hearty portion of soup. My husband loved the French toast he ordered. Our friend had the wagyu steak and it looked great. One weird thing happened. When they brought the check, the prices were not the same as on the menu. The bill was marked up by about $7. When I showed the discrepancies in the prices to the waiter, he went and corrected the bill and apologized about it. So I'm glad he took care of fixing it. They probably just need to update their menu prices. Overall, we had a nice brunch at DDG. I would come back again! ”
“ Such an amazing French meal in the DuPont Circle area! Inside of the restaurant was very upscale but hip. Very busy in a good way! Service was great throughout the entire meal. Two highlights of night (although everything was delicious) were the duck fat fries and the duck confit (their specialty)!! The duck just fell off the bone and was perfect moist and flavorful. The fires were probably the best I have had in a while. Lastly, the croissant bread pudding was a perfect way to end of the meal! Would definitely recommend coming here for dinner. ”
“ Came for Sunday brunch. It was more or less empty when we arrived at 1030 but quickly started filling up shortly afterwards. Very nice outdoor seating but we elected to sit inside due to the heat. Service was initially very prompt and directed but unfortunately began to call off a little bit as the restaurant began to gain volume. Nothing terrible but prevents it from getting 5 stars. Bottomless mimosas were on point, especially their pineapple herb blend. Food was very good. Duck and waffles were excellent with a good portion. Salmon Benedict was put together very well. ”
“ Duck Duck Goose is a charming French brasserie that offers a small variety of French-inspired dishes. The waiters were attentive and answered any questions we had about the menu. The atmosphere is elegant and the restaurant was very clean. The restaurant also has a great selection of wines and cocktails, as well as non-alcoholic drinks for those who prefer them. One of the highlights of the menu is the duck fried rice, which is made with tender duck meat, fragrant jasmine rice, fresh vegetables, and egg. The rice is seasoned which gives it a sweet and savory flavor that complements the duck perfectly. The portion is filling, and the presentation is elegant. It's a bit on the expensive side, but if you're looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion, or just enjoy a delicious meal with friends, Duck Duck Goose is a good place to go. ”
“ I've been to their Bethesda location a few years ago for brunch, so I was excited to try their new DC location after a long hiatus. Street Parking can be difficult if you arrive during peak times. I suggest parking a little further away from the main street and walking a few blocks. Bone Marrow starter came with a blueberry jam and the meat was so juicy. I think the two flavor combinations surprisingly went well together. My Steak Frites were perfectly cooked and had a sauce poured on top by the server. The number of fries was generous and super crispy. My favorite dish was the Duck Breast. This also had sauce poured around the dish. By far one of the best ducks I had. I recommend ordering some type of vegetables or side dishes to balance out the meat entrees. The Eclair dessert was not bad but also not amazing. I liked the outer choux shell and the flavors inside. However, I felt that the whipped cream could have been replaced with a whipped ganache or something. ”
“ The ambience was a romantic candlelight dinner and the noise level was very loud but the food was delicious! However, the only thing I was upset about is that the table to my left had the Toffee Pudding dessert and when our waitress came she said they changed the dessert menu. So my friend and I chose from the new menu and got a Passionfruit Meringue and my friend told me and asked, "If the menu changed, how come the table behind you received the toffee pudding?" .. this was right after we finished our Meringue. Not gonna lie the Passionfruit Meringue was delicious! The plate was clean. And the Holiday Cocktail the waitress recommended/suggested she liked was very good. It had a kick of coffee to it as it had the beans. ”
